LOADING!!!! That’s what I see all the time. This needs to be addressed asap. Almost makes this useless and inconvenient for daily use. This will only work when I open the app on my phone. Most frustrating thing ever. The app should only be opened to assign buttons and then never again, until you want to change the assignments again. When this is fixed I’ll put it back in my car otherwise not great. Maybe it’s just my unit is defective. Let me know.

The loading bug should be resolved now. Please delate and reinstall the app form Testflight and make sure you have version 28.

Same here. Got it from Kickstarter. The only thing it’s doing is showing: „Loading“. Although the app shows a connection to the car and the bar there is no function. Of course latest app and firmware. At the moment it’s complete useless. Hope this is an firmware issue and not my device.

Something is wrong with mine as well. Not sure if this is best place to get support contact but didnt see anywhere else. my ctrl-bar is having issues since latest update. LED no longer works, Seat heater no longer works. Regardless of which button I assign them to. Have tried phone reboots, unplug/plug back in USB. Other functions i have assigned seem fine, climate, locks, frunk

Totally agree. I’ve already stopped using this device. It is forever loading, the assigned buttons don’t work half the time. Very frustrated

The app sometimes goes into a “sleep” mode after a while, and this is one reason that some experience “loading” or that the Ctrl-Bar do not work as expected. We have re-written the communication part of the code, and will release a fix on this issue soon. Until then the “fix” is to kill the app and start again.
If this now work, please ensure your your phone has internett connection, the phone's Bluetooth is on, reset the power on the Ctrl-Bar (wait 4 secound before re-connect), and try exiting and re-entering the app. I understand that this is frustrating, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Our development team is fully focused on delivering a fix as soon as possible.

Øyvind Husby: I have specifically ensured my app should not be going into sleep mode as I specifically told Android not to battery optimize the app. I'm glad a fix is on the way but just giving you some additional context that may help you troubleshoot

Even when mine connects and the app is open it will not work unless I have the app running in the foreground. If I select another app while leaving the Ctrl bar app still running in the background the Ctrl bar device won't send the commands to my Tesla. So if I change the temperature using the knob it will show the new temperature in the LCD of the Ctrl bar but not change the temperature of my car. I have to unlock my phone and put the app in the foreground to get it to change the temperature in the car. I'm running android and the app is set to not optimize battery usage so it should not be sleeping in the background. It's infuriating.
